Final score of Two Rivers Roller Derby All-Stars vs Reading Derby Girls was 222 Reading to 187 Two Rivers - such a close game the whole way and it was great home-opening and awesome to get back to shooting some derby! I love the community spirit displayed at every bout. This bout featured the Lehigh Valley Harmonizers and the All In Good Time Quartet singing the national anthem, the Abzahrah Dance Company entertained with belly dancing for the the half time show, and a portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales were donated to Community Bike Works, a non-profit who uses bikes to provides inner-city children living in at-risk situations with meaningful work-ethic alternatives to gangs, drugs and the streets. The ice rink was HOT, but the derby was HOTTER!
